Yes. Ancient civilization not necessarily where respectful of
nature. Easter Island is a good example of a culture that caused its
own man made ecological dissater.

Yes. The first thing to do is to stop population explosion, the
second is to use a more intelligent use of resources. Otherwise, We
will have no planet left.

Harly a good solution. Look at Mexico, a country with only 100
million people and all the problems it has with the immigrants it
sent to the U.S.A. For Mexico the solution is already comming,
people has less children these days, although the tendency to
migrate is still there. In the future, Mexico itself will have to
worry about depopulation, and those concerns are already in there.
Imagine that India would need to get rid of 500 million people to
estabilize its population, so it send them abroad.
Do you really think Americans will allow 500 million people from
India to go to live there at a single time? Hardly. That will mean
more than a new wave of immigrant but really a national security
problem for them. I guess they would not accept more that 10 million
as much, if they are kind.
And 500 millions means around the same as the population of the
whole Latin America! Which means the whole continent won't be
willing to solve Indians demographic problem. 500 millions is also
the population of Europe! and a good fraction of the population of
Africa!
And that won't resolve the demographic problem of India at all.
Because if does not control its growth, those 500 millions will be
there in India once again one or two generations afterwards.
The population problems of India has to be resolved in India itself.
And that is comming. Higher standards of living will make Indians to
want to control their growth themselves. China already has solved
its own problem and India will have to do as well, if it wants to
compite. It is just a matter of logic.
