2) someone was pointing out that religious pressure is a good push
to get ppl out there. religions would not allow that kind of thing.
3) there is no indication that the 'star trek' type of replicator is
even feasible. if it does, i have my doubts that it will happen
before the first stations are built.
4) unless something is done to curb population by the end of that
century (assuming that we have stations a lot sooner) of the human
race will be almost a hundred trillion. at the rate of population
increase, will need to increase the capacity of the stations several
billion a day.
its a beautiful dream and i think you should keep dreaming it. maybe
the future will be closer to it than the disaster i foresee.
