Boys and Girls in Space - and other things

I said a crash, not an absense. Plenty of kids, just less than previously.
And sorry to turn your beliefs on their head, but a suddden increase in
persoanl wealth (for slightly different reasons) is what happened
immediately after the black death. In the long term it doesn't work, but
over a single generation, reduce the number of people and those who are left
end up being richer than if the 'calamety' had never happened. And you're
making the same very silly mistake so many others have made: the following
generation(s) rarely duplicate their parents society in all things.

It's not a case that westerners stop having kids - but those who don't (and
there are a significant number today) have an alternative. Which other
people do not like. "You're doing something we don't understand! You must be
evil!" Hence comes drama.
