How about Halliburton or Kellog-Root-Brown? It's not uncommon for the
govt to give exclusive contracts to trusted companies. Of course when
they do, the line between government and business really blurs. Given
enough time, companies with exclusive contracts become just as
inefficient as the government agencies they are replacing.

One aspect of Darwinism often overlooked is that formerly fit beings
become fat and lazy during times of plenty. This becomes very
problematic when times turn hard.
