Uh... You can extend that to other types of polyedra. For instance, if
your external surface is a rhomboid icosahedron - well, I hope that is
the correct name, anyway it is a "soccer ball" composed of 12
pentagons and 20 hexagons. This solid has 32 faces and 60 corners, so
can have up to 92 habitats exploring only faces and corners.
Interestingly, this cluster seen from outside would look like some
types of virus - a ball covered with "spikes".
