Super-habitats

Hey,

Okay, easy to do, keeping all these straight in your mind can be a problem,
I know it is for me. And I would still love to be able to build a real
Ring-World, something that big has enormous potential, picture it, the equal
to 2 million Earths (give or take and not counting the water), if you give
half of it over to water then you still have a million Earths. It makes you
wonder just what we will be capable of in a million years, assuming we are
still around or what class 2 and 3 civilisations are out there doing (again
assuming they are there), things so large that we should be able to see it
and in fact, maybe we are but do not recognise it. Do ants on the grounds of
CERN understand what the tunnels and other things around them are doing?

sorry, there was more than one converstation and i got them mixed up.
yes that was about the ring world.

on the other hand it could still be used for a much smaller (ie 5000
km) ring. the spokes would not need to be so big if they were
supporting only other spokes in a simular manner.
