I think you took too seriously "Space 1999" and also the movie remake
of "The Time Machine" from 2002. :)

Throughout its history, the Moon has suffered monstrous asteroid
impacts. The ones that created the largest craters (not counting the
impact basins) were probably millions of times stronger than all our
nuclear weapons exploded together. (Nukes may look impressive under a
human point of view, but they are nothing compared to forces of
nature. Any round-of-the-mill volcanic eruption liberates the energy
of thousands of nukes...) Yet Moon's orbit was not significantly
altered by that.

I hope that the numbers above make clear that it is *completely
impossible* anything built by Humanity deviating the lunar orbit in
the foreseeable future.
