I was thinking of small cities floating in the air of earth. They can
be used in some very interesting ways. For example over half the fuel
used in an airplane is for take off and landing. A docking bay at the
right altitude could decrease fuel costs enoromously. I'm not really
advocating this because the cost of building such a platform would
never be paid back by fuel savings, but perhaps small versions as
tourist resorts. Just imagine the skydiving.
