There needs to be anticipation of a profit and a quick return on
investment.. hopefully within three years. With asteroid mining, you have
the best chance of success especially when combined with a host of space
products and services, many of which will derive from the mining but many
will involve services (ie. tourism, satellite placement, etc.) A space
hotel is a must as well as rental and buyable space property. Made in
space. Profitable, money making operations are very do-able.. most likely
in space. Less energy is needed to do anything. Space made products are
better.. higher quality, fewer impurities.
Mars is great for science and some of the science will help in coming up
with new products and services.
