What? That's not the case and never has been. You're simply annoying
when you (a) cross-post your messages to half a dozen different lists
(many of us subscribe to more than one); (b) continuously post
references to news pieces which just about any of us with an interest
in this topic would have seen ourselves anyway; and (c) whine about it
when you're banned from a list or two for these annoying practices.

I would venture to guess that you're fairly new to mailing lists,
because these things have been bad list etiquette for decades. Please
just relax, observe how other list members conduct themselves, and
follow suit, and then we won't have a problem any more.
