New Venture

I was a member of this group several years ago and just signed up again.

For the record, my background and experience include a degree in
Physics, a MBA, seven years of service in the U.S. Navy's nuclear
powered submarine program, seven years of work in commercial nuclear
power, and almost 30 years of employment in the shipbuilding industry.
In addition, I am a big fan of Buckminster Fuller and was an early
member of Space Studies Institute.

As a retirement project, I am investigating a venture called The Phoenix
Development Society that would promote projects including, but not
limited to Phoenix Villages (using the dome home designs of Buckminster
Fuller), Phoenix Cities (floating but based on the combination of an
O'Neill design for a space settlement and a pre-engineered city design
of Buckminster Fuller), and Phoenix Settlements (in space and based on
an O'Neill design for a space settlement).

I do not have the time, interest, ability, or patience to moderate a
group so I am the only one who can post to that group. I would, however,
be happy to respond to any comments, questions, or concerns through this
forum.
