"Incomprehensible", I have no doubt; but "unrecognizable" I have a problem with. A squirrel can't comprehend New York City, but he can certainly recognize that it differs from a virgin forest. I would expect a post-singularity civilization to do things like casually deciding to re-structure the Milky Way for more efficient use of its resources. We couldn't begin to comprehend how they were doing such a thing, but the point is that the picture would be distinguishable from a galactic wilderness.
