How much would these Space-Umbrellas cost? Each space craft now costs $ 10 of Millions to billions. How much would it cost to orbit them? How much damage would be done to Earths industry and atmosphere by prepare them and to the atmosphere by launching them? If you are proposing industrializing space with factories, I am in favor of looking at those details. Moving humans and human industry to space may remove the need to use the Space-Umbrellas, but the prospects of moving billions of people to space at 10s of millions dollars each is equally out of the question for probably several centuries. Could we even launch people at the rate that the population is growing? Sincerely, Jay Jay S. Huebner, Ph.D.
