================================ This sounds like the Pavlovian knee-jerk position
which has been ingrained in all of us for most of the
past century.
I would not be the first to suggest that Communism
has never been tried.
-"Communism" is a label that has, in virtually all
cases, been co-opted by Totalitarian leaders
who have developed societies having very little
in common with the utopian goals advertised in
"Communist" literature.>

There was a joke back in the 1980's in which Leonid Breshnev is showing his
mother around his Black Sea villa. They went from one opulent room to
another, and all the old lady could do was shake her head and mumble, "It's
so worrying."

Finally, Breshnev says to his mother, "What's wrong? Don't you like this
place?"

"Oh, it's lovely, Leonid. But I'm worried about what will happen to you if
the Bolsheviks should return."
