Science Fiction

I believe we're talking about just the stuff on the shelves.

I must admit what I have been seeing the bookstore shelves is quite
mediocre.

A lot of fantasy fiction of Dungeons and Dragons or some form of Star
Trek devoid of any Scientific base. Most of it poorly written and
hardly one any pleasure to read.

I found out the hardway in trying to get the big boys to publish my
novel in which an Israili goes back in time to prevent the Holocaust by
hooking up with the Generals and making a deal for Jewish lives by
helping off Hitler in exchange for helping them win WWII.

I figured Write a good story with a solid background and my success was
assured.

Everyone who has read my novel is really quite impressed with it.

So I expected success in finding a publisher.

I was rejected by the very publishers of mediocrity.

Problem is the people employed by the Big Boys to read incoming
manuscripts are these women from Wesley and Ba Ma and various other
liberal collages whose views on literature leave much to be desired.
Just like Hollywood, they've lost touch with the people and they have
forgotten what a good story and what good science fiction is. They've
had too much star trek and too many indoctrinations for Political
Correctness. If they walked into any place in America they would
scream at everyone and rant that every American is a Bigot. All men are
rapists, etc, etc.

Since they don't see eye to eye with the Average American, anything the
ordinary person would enjoy, they reject.

That is the problem with Science Fiction available today.
